Christophe Convert

Convert Designs Ltd.

For over 24 years, Christophe Convert has been helping both fledgling entrepreneurs and major brands like Dyson Automotive, Caudwell Marine and Aston Martin Lagonda, with cradle-to-grave product design.

His approach to any mechanical engineering design project goes beyond any theory taught in a classroom. He innately considers the long-term viability, sustainability and suitability of any product or project plan.

In 2018, he established Convert Design Ltd as a values-led business, strong on integrity, passionate about mechanical engineering design and innovative.

Now, in 2024, Convert Design is about to launch its first branded product using proprietary technology – Bottld, a reverse vending machine (RVM) for plastic bottle recycling. Motivated by the planned UK launch of Deposit Return Schemes (DRS), already widespread across Europe, this unique RVM has the potential to change the landscape of recycling, ending the flood of plastic which ends up in landfill. It is compact enough for multiple venues and locations, including cinemas, pubs, schools and transport hubs and Christophe’s mission is for them to be installed alongside traditional vending machines up and down the UK.

”Christophe is both supremely talented, but also hugely dedicated” – Piers Corfield, Thought Leader: Energy Transformation; Decarbonisation
