2econd Chance is a charity that provides work-based training for people furthest away from the job market. We support people with physical disabilities, learning difficulties or social, emotional and mental health needs by training them to refurbish unwanted computers, laptops and phones Using computers as an entrance point for training, we provide opportunities to build skills, knowledge and soft skills as a pathway into employment.
We have developed an innovative circular model which sees companies donate their unwanted devices (laptops, mobile phones, tablets and desktops) to fulfil their Corporate Social Responsibility and sustainability agendas. Every piece of unwanted tech donated to 2econd Chance is used to train individuals to refurbish devices to industry standard.
Our circular economy model helps reduce e-waste and bridges the digital divide as a percentage of our refurbished tech is then donated to individuals, schools, and community groups who need it most.
The more devices we receive, the more people we can support.
If your business or organisation has unwanted laptops, desktops, tablets or smartphones (up to 6 years old), please get in touch — and help give someone a second chance at work.
