Monaghan, Shabra is Ireland’s largest recycler and reprocessor of PET, LDPE, and HDPE plastics—transforming waste into high-performance products like rPET food-grade trays, medical-grade sheeting, and recycled bags. From collection to reprocessing, Shabra operates a fully closed-loop system, ensuring maximum resource recovery and minimal environmental footprint.

Between 2022 and 2024, Shabra recycled over 43,000 tonnes of plastic, powered by a growing team of 70 sustainability-focused professionals. As a key player in Ireland’s Deposit Return Scheme, the company is driving fundamental change in how plastics are managed across borders.
