The Recycling Expo 2026 Returns to Farnborough with Expanded Focus on Reuse, Repair and Resource Efficiency

The Recycling Expo 2026 Returns to Farnborough with Expanded Focus on Reuse, Repair and Resource Efficiency

London, UK – 15/12/25

After a successful and highly energised 2025 edition at Excel London, Recycling Expo has confirmed a major expansion for 2026, including a move to Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre and the introduction of two new specialist hubs dedicated to E-waste & IT asset disposition (ITAD) and sustainable construction and materials.

Taking place on 13-14 October 2026, the move marks a significant evolution of the event, more than doubling its footprint and enabling a balance of large-scale outdoor equipment demonstrations and modern indoor environments designed for strategic insight, procurement conversations and cross-sector innovation.

Event Director Eddy Lawrance said:

In 2026 we’re focused on more targeted experiences for both attendees and exhibitors. The new hubs and activations are built to support valuable conversations, deeper connections and stronger pipelines in the key growth sectors of recycling.

Building on the 2025 momentum

The 2025 edition brought together local authorities, waste operators, corporate sustainability teams, recyclers, demolition specialists, technology providers and innovators from the UK and across Europe. Many highlighted the event’s relevance at a time when the industry is undergoing unprecedented change.

Feedback from recognisable industry voices underscored the need for a more specialised platform. HP Renew Solutions, for example, noted how the London audience’s appetite for sustainable IT created “insightful conversations with clients and partners about circular solutions”.

Likewise, policy-led discussions - such as the standing-room-only session on flexible plastics - demonstrated, as SUEZ UK reflected, “the programme’s relevance” to current industry pressures.

This momentum has been strengthened by the community’s support - from London’s waste authorities and grassroots circular initiatives through to national and international partners. Recycling Expo acknowledges the generosity, collaboration and constructive challenge shared by industry colleagues who continue to shape the event’s direction.

A commitment to community and global perspective

Recycling Expo remains grounded in its mission to support not only large-scale commercial innovation but also grass-roots and community-level circular projects that often drive early-stage behavioural change and social value.

At the same time, the event recognises the growing influence of global market forces, volatile commodity prices and rapid domestic legislative reform. These shifts increasingly demand collaboration across borders, and the 2026 edition aims to serve as a bridge between UK stakeholders and international partners - creating a forum that reflects both local realities and global supply chain interdependencies.

New E-Waste & ITAD Hub

To address the rising importance of digital infrastructure, critical materials and secure data management, Recycling Expo 2026 will introduce a dedicated E-Waste & ITAD Hub, bringing together the entire IT lifecycle - from refurbishment and secondary resale markets to secure data destruction and end-of-life materials recovery.

The hub will feature a Circular IT & Lifecycle Theatre and an ITAD Lounge, creating a focal point for CIOs, sustainability leaders, asset managers and recyclers to explore how circular IT strategies can mitigate risk, recover value and improve material sovereignty.

Sustainable Construction & Materials Zone

A second new feature, the Sustainable Construction & Materials Zone, addresses one of the UK’s most significant waste streams - construction and demolition.

The zone will showcase innovation in low-carbon building materials, demolition recovery systems and sustainable infrastructure, supporting the sector’s transition toward circular practices and reduced embodied carbon.

A venue designed for live demonstration and real business

The move to Farnborough International provides over 100,000 sqm of outdoor space for vehicle, machinery and heavy-equipment demonstrations, supported by extensive indoor halls, simple logistics, expansive parking and EV charging.

Its sustainability-led “Destination Zero” programme reinforces the event’s core circular economy narrative and offers a credible backdrop for commercial dialogue and partnership.

A growing year-round community

The live show is supported by a rapidly growing digital community of around 53,000 circular economy stakeholders, including 27,000+ newsletter subscribers and 44,000 LinkedIn followers, engaging with weekly industry updates and policy analysis.

Director Eddy Lawrance added:

We’re not just scaling the floorplan; we’re sharpening the focus. Recycling Expo 2026 is about putting the right buyers, innovators and decision-makers into the right environments - from live demos to sector-specific hubs. We’re grateful for the community that has grown around this event, and we remain committed to supporting both the grassroots initiatives and the international relationships that keep the industry moving forward.”
