Dr Debbie Fletcher is a Strategy Director in the Zero Waste team at Local Partnerships, a public-sector owned consultancy, supporting both national and local government in the delivery of policy and strategy work regarding waste and resources. Drawing on more than 16 years’ experience in the sector, Debbie’s work specialises in driving forward the circular economy by providing insight on how policy translates into practice for businesses and the public sector. Debbie is also a member of Defra’s Circular Economy Taskforce, supporting the government to create a circular economy strategy for England. Her work on the taskforce has included a focus on the agri-food and packaging sectors, exploring how best to support reductions in fertiliser inputs, prevent avoidable food waste, and increase nutrient circularity through organics recycling.
